Adam Orton joined us in January 2015 as a remedial apprentice. we are delighted that in 2018 he has now completed his apprenticeship and is officially a qualified technician. Read about Adam’s success here.
He lives in Stourton Grange Leeds, with Emma and their two boys; Kaiden and Taylor.
As part of his apprenticeship Adam moved around the team, helping out our wall tie installation crew and our damp proofing and timber treatment team. This ensured he received broad experience, to help him develop within the company. Asked what he’s enjoying the most he says “It’s never the same from day to day and I love my job, but lately I’ve really enjoyed installing cavity drain membranes to waterproof basements”.
He is also the first technician in the UK to be become a professional registered biocide user. The national register of professional biocide users is maintained by the Property Care Association. This register only accepts technicians who have attended the relevant training and have passed the test at the end of the course. This ensures that any chemicals used in your property are mixed; applied and disposed of safely. Well done Adam; as the card says you are the UK’s number 1 guy!
His passion is his family of course and he loves to get away with Emma and the boys, usually for a trip to the coast at weekends. Adam is a regular at the company sponsored ‘Bootcamps’ and with of the rest of the team is keeping fit and healthy. If fact he’s seen above – with a can of mushy peas awarded for being the hardest trier at one of the recent bootcamp sessions…
Adam is a keen Leeds United supporter, which is good, as Elland Road is a short walk away.
