Yorkshire’s finest damp, timber and wall tie specialist wins again!

For the second year in three we are highly commended in annual Property Care Association awards.

The PCA agm saw Brick-Tie Preservation awarded the Training and personal development ‘highly commended’ award. This is the second time we’ve been recognised in this way and the whole team are delighted to receive it once more.

We put customer service and quality at the forefront of everything we do and training has been key to achieving the high standards our customers demand. Damp-proofing, woodworm or Dry Rot can be messy and noisy. To keep stress down and put a smile on customers faces, when their building is being turned upside down is not easy – but it’s something we do every week.

Maintaining our Investors In People accreditation is part of that and so is on-going staff development.

This week we completed a further workshop on customer service and we are striving to achieve outstanding service standards.

So far this year, customer feedback has been exceptional, but there is always room for improvement. Our workshop was organised by Trudy Mackenzie of Esteem Training who travelled down from Scotland to present this. We have an on-going relationship with Esteem who we discovered via the FMB training outreach and the workshop was great.

Bryan and the team were also delighted to invite Annabelle Webster or South East damp and timber, who are a small PCA member company with high standards, who we are assisting with mentoring and training sharing. Annabelle was a good honorary member of our team on the day and we are looking forward to working with South East Timber and Damp again in the future.

Outgoing Property Care Association Chairman Martin Hughes CSRT CSSW stopped by our workshop to officially present the award to us; surprising Bryan, who was kept in the dark until Martin appeared with the award and a bottle of bubbly.

Our membership of the PCA, combined with the help of Esteem keeps us at the pinnacle of quality and service standards – thanks to all involved.

Recognition in the Property Care Association awards means a great deal to us because the PCA membership are the best of the best in the damp proofing and remedial treatment industry, so we really are doing well if we are able to stand out amongst such high quality company.
