Site Based Staff

Please take a minute to meet the real heroes of the business by watching our short video which shows our site-based team as they have never been seen before!

Stuart Lattimer – Fully Qualified Technician

BT Preservation's smiling motorbiker and fully-qualified technician, Stuart Lattimer.

Joining Brick-Tie in 1986, Stuart has worked on everything from breweries, to shops, pubs, judo clubs, cellars, nunneries, houses, hotels, bridges, universities, mills, apartments, battlements and the occasional barn – and that’s by no means an exhaustive list! A fully qualified technician and more!
Best of all he’s never stopped smiling, despite the fact that our younger technicians love nothing better than pulling his leg.
Married to Mandy, Stuart loves touring on his motorbike and can’t wait for those summer days out.
Reliable, loyal and knowledgeable - we don’t know where we’d be without Stuart. Just be careful on that motorbike, eh Stu?

Darren Roberts - Fully Qualified Technician

BT Preservation's football-kicking, bench-pressing, new-daddy and fully-qualified technician, Darren Roberts.

Joined us from a training scheme in 1997, knowing next to nothing, but willing to work and always quick to learn. He’s now graduated to being one of our most capable technicians. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Darren, whether that’s for our customers, his team mates or management.
Recently a Dad for the first time, he’s now got even more responsibility than before – but he’s up to it, so his partner Suzy and little Mason have no worries.
Darren plays football for his local team as striker and keeps fit training ‘down the gym’.

Ryan Shann - Fully Qualified Technician

BT Preservation's tattooed perfectionist and fully-qualified technician, Ryan Shann.

Ryan came to us from the same training scheme as Darren, back in 2001. A basic NVQ in Construction operations got Ryan started and he’s never looked back. Attention to detail is a given with Ryan because he really wants the job to be just what the client ordered.
He and Rita have a gorgeous three year old daughter, Olivia. Ryan has her name proudly tattooed on his arm ‘Beckham’ style.
We hear he’s been seen down the gym too, usually begging for help – the wimp!

Craig Tarbotton - Fully Qualified Technician

BT Preservation's enthusiastic funster and fully-qualified technician, Craig Tarbotton.

Craig sort of turned up for work in 2003 and to be honest, kept a low profile for a bit. However, as soon as more responsibility came his way he shone. Learning quickly and meeting challenges with enthusiasm, he’s carved out a niche in the business for himself. He’s a great support for those around him and anyone needing help on a tough job will want Craig in the van.
His sense of humour has to be carried around by us like a millstone. Got a valentines card with poems in from a sexy admirer? It’s him. Daft massage on your mobile? Subscribed to a dubious newsletter? He did it.
He’s a new Daddy too, with Alicia joining the family only recently!
Practical jokes and jobs done on time are his speciality.

Adrian Roberts - Fully Qualified Technician

Trowel whizz and Association Football enthusiast, Adrian Roberts.

Adrian joined us in 2004, being introduced by his brother Darren. Adrian has passed the Institute of Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing technician’s exam and he works with enthusiasm and care. He’s always happy to help his colleagues or customers, and has a great sense of humour. He plays football for West Ardsley and is probably the fittest of our staff. He’s currently working hard on improving his trowel skills, in competition with Darren and Ryan..

David Gill - Fully Qualified Technician

David Gill has a huge skill set!

David is a very experience damp-proofing and building contractor, who worked for us over fifteen years ago, before setting out on his own to run his building and roofing business. David has returned to the Brick-Tie Preservation fold, bringing us his experience in construction refurbishment, project management and roofing knowledge plus his wry sense of humour....
David is a qualified remedial technician too, so he already has a thorough knowledge of our remedial treatment, damp-proofing and waterproofing techniques so we can now offer a wider scope of work, to include more basement conversions, re-building and roofing work too. This is great news for our property management clients, who often need a broader service, so that damp or other remedial problems can be tackled without the need for separate contractors.
