BT Preservation Management
Bryan Hindle - Managing Director
Despite running a successful business Bryan is first and foremost a surveyor. Qualifying as a timber and damp surveyor in 1982 having worked for his father's damp proofing firm since 1976, he’s done many thousands of surveys since then, and likes nothing more than seeing a diary full of surveys to be completed.
Back-to-back terrace houses get the same attention from Bryan as Castles and mansions. You’ll always get a straight and honest answer from him, that’s why his phone never stops ringing. He’s a bit of a chatter box though, so if you ask too many questions you’ll end up a real expert too, so allow plenty of time!
Bryan is proud to hold the CSRT and CSSW qualifications which really are the minimum anyone should obtain before commenting on dampness, basement waterproofing or timber infestations. Remember though, that these qualifications are the start of learning and it takes years of seeing real life dampness problems, to get the sort of expertise Bryan has.
When not surveying and running the business Bryan relaxes taking photographs and weather permitting, flying his paraglider – see his photostream and watch his pathetic attempts at in-flight acrobatics or join him for a gentle soar over Wensleydale, as seen from his helmet-cam
In between he loves listening to The Clash, David Bowie, The White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, Roxy Music and well, just about everything else.
Julie Hindle - Company Secretary
The first responsibility of any company secretary is paying the company’s bills. Julie has balanced BT Preservation’s books for 23 years, making sure our suppliers, the tax and VAT man are paid on time. With something like £40,000 per month flowing in and out of the business, it’s quite a job.
If you’re a customer then it’s Julie who’ll send you the bill when we’re finished on site. If you want to supply goods and services to BT Preservation, then Julie’s the girl to talk to.
On top of this Julie has been married to Managing Director Bryan, for over twenty five years, so to say she has patience is an understatement.
